Manali Rohtang Pass Road Status 2015 will be opened for the tourist after May 20. The Board Road Organization has come across 40 feet of snow at several stretches during the snow-clearing operation. Nearly 250 BRO personnel were working in the operation from both sides of the road. The Commander stated that eight dozers, two snow-cutters and four bulldozers were used on both sides of the Rohtang Pass. The snow clearing work from the road starts from first week of March but due to sustained critical weather conditions the work started on March 19, 2015. While crossing Manali Rohtang Highway timing and one way traffic is regulated.
Listing the matter for the next hearing on May 25, 2015, the tourist vehicles are banned to protect the delicate ecology of the pass. Mr. Rakesh Kanwar, Kullu Deputy Commissioner stated that Majestic Pass will be closed for 5 days and it will take another five days to restore it and tourist can go upto Marhi. The National Green Tribunal has executed high congestion charges on vehicles going to the Manali Rohtang Highway and even they have restricted the number of vehicles upto 1,000 per day that includes 600 petrol and 400 diesel vehicles. The congestion charges for petrol vehicles is upto Rs 1,000 and for diesel vehicle upto Rs 2,500 and commercial vehicles with a seating capability of more than six to pay Rs 5,000.

Manali Rohtang Pass Road Status 2015 is Open so that while going to Lahaul Spiti the vehicles will have to acquire permit to cross Rohtang Pass. The permit can be taken from the green tax barrier at Chauri Bihal and Shuru, Sub-Divisional Magistrate office Manali, tourist information center Manali and also in the office of HPTDC. Vehicles are allowed to come back from Rohtang Pass to Manali after 11 am to 6 pm only. There are no restrictions for ambulances that are in emergency. Vehicles that are going outside Rohtang Pass that is to Leh – Ladakh or Lahaul spiti valley will be allowed from 5 pm to 6 am. Tourist vehicles those are going for Rohtang Pass will be allowed to go from Manali Rohtang Pass from 6 am to 11 pm. Tourist vehicles are banned to protect the delicate ecology of the pass. Ladakh by Road can be reached through cars or buses.
