Sindhu Darshan Festival is the symbol of multi-dimensional ethnic identity, communal harmony and passive co-existence in India. On the first day of the Sindhu Darshan Festival witnesses a reception ceremony for the contestants, organized on the banks of Sindhu at Shey. The ceremony is conducted by an association of committees of different religious groups like Ladakh Buddhist Association, Shia Majlis, Sunni Anjuman, Christian Moravian Church, Hindu Trust and Sikh Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee, to encourage national honor.
