Himalayan Bear

Himalayan Bear are found in the Himalayan Mountains and it is known as Denmo in Ladakhi language. The technical name for the Himalayan brown bear is Ursus arctos. Himalayan Bears is omnivore and they eat grass, roots, insects, fruits and berries. Ursusarctos is superior prey like sheep and goats. Denmo hides from the month of October through April. Himalayan Bears are active during day time and even in afternoon.

Habitat of Himalayan Bear

The habitat of himalayan bear is that they live in Deosai National Park. The Himalayan Brown Bear lives in India across 23 different ranges and many of them are survived in protected areas. They desire to live in high elevation of about 10,000 to 18,000 feet. The bears are awesomely vegetarian so they are called as grass bear by inhabitants. The time of Ursusarctos to eat is in the morning. Himalayan Bear stay in caves or burrows. The Denmo on the Tibetan plateau are meat-eating because there is very little fodder for the bears.

Characteristics

The Denmo are the bigger bears in the Himalayan Mountains. The Male Himalayan Bears are 5 to 7 feet (1.52 to 2.13 meters) in length and the female Himalayan Brown Bear are 4to 6 feet in length. Ursusarctos is the main animal in the Himalayan Mountains. Himalayan Bears has big head, small eyes, and stocky extremities.
